Fit & Fun Playscapes recently collaborated with a New Jersey-based school district’s gifted and talented program to make custom recess games designed by students. Part of this years program, which implements S.T.R.E.A.M. (science, technology, research, engineering, art and mathematics) learning principles, challenged students to research the importance and benefits of play and design their own playground games that encourage learning through teamwork.

The results were amazing – a multi-dimensional game board featuring a tessellation, nautilus and golden rectangle and Fibonacci number sequence! Students designed patterns, chose colors and created unique games, strategies and rules resulting in a kinesthetic learning design for students to enjoy for years to come.

The brand was recently featured in the filming of the PBS program, “Classroom Close-up.“ Classroom Close-up NJ is a half-hour television program that features innovative projects in New Jersey public schools. The 15-time Emmy® award-winning show is in its 23rd season and airs on NJTV every Sunday at 7:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
