Motor Sensory Activity Stations And You: Providing The Most Exercise For Your Buck!

Back to school is now in full swing, but things aren't so happy and simple with the COVID-19 pandemic lurking in the back of everyone's minds. Some schools have found success returning on a split schedule, where half the grades go to school on Day 1 and the other half go to school on Day 2, while others have opted for a completely virtual Fall/Winter 2020 semester.

But most schools have returned to discover that in-classroom learning isn't as compatible with the current circumstances as was expected. Some schools have decided to hold outdoor-only class until the weather turns cold, erecting portable tents and holding class in there, while others have had to cancel their plans to go back into the classroom and continue the school year virtual-only.

It's a mess out there, to say the least, but here at Fit and Fun Playscapes, we're hoping to help bring a little order to the chaos through the help of our (new-ish) Motor Sensory Activity Stations Stencil Package.

Teachers have contacted us about recess and/or physical opportunities outdoors that they can use which are temporary instead of permanent. They cite the need to keep the kids "in the classroom," per say, even though class is outdoors, and don't want the kids to go running around across the schoolyard when they're supposed to be "in class" learning.

Our solution for those teachers has been to use our Motor Sensory Activity Stations Stencil Package on the blacktop within those classroom tents with temporary spray chalk!

Three Great Things About Our Motor Sensory Activity Stations Package

1. Our Activity Stations Packages Don't Break the Bank!

At just $160 for a 10-site license (meaning you can use the stencil at up to 10 different schools in your district without needing to buy more) our Motor Sensory Activity Stations Package includes awesome activities like the Elephant Walk, Leap Frog, Bear Crawl, and Foot Prints stencils for an amazing packaged price.

2. They're Portable

With spray chalk instead of permanent paint, you can take our Motor Sensory Activity Stations with you if your classroom moves. In addition, if part of your day calls for outdoor activities with your students, you can bring the package with you and paint it down anywhere.

3. They're Great For Brain Breaks

If your school has an indoor sensory pathway that you can no longer access because of COVID-19 social distancing measures, our Motor Sensory Activity Stations Stencil Packages provide a cheap but effective alternative for sensory activity and play. The package includes some common exercises and movements that you'd expect to find in a sensory pathway.

Spray Chalk, Chalk Chalk, and Chalk-the-Walk!

A little while back, we wrote a blog post outlining our review of specific types of chalk based on specifications like overall quality, safety, and longevity. We reviewed spray chalk, stick chalk, and liquid paint to make sure we hit everything!

Why, you might ask? Well, as it turns out, our Motor Sensory Activity Stations are also fantastic activities to use for Active Sidewalks! They provide a cheap but effective way to transform your neighborhood's sidewalks into awesome outdoor activities.
