Encourage teamwork and sportsmanship by forming mixed-age teams, allowing younger and older students to collaborate and support each other.

Take the traditional game of four square and give it a fresh twist to keep students engaged. Introduce new rules or variations, such as 'King of the Square,' where the goal is to stay in the top square for as long as possible, or 'Team Four Square,' where students partner up to strategize and support each other. Or only allow children to use their non-dominant hand or super bouncy ball. Hosting a four square tournament can also add a competitive edge and a sense of accomplishment for participants. Offer fun awards for top players like cool stickers or first in line back inside.

Sensory paths are designed to stimulate multiple senses and provide a physical way for students to self-regulate and refocus. But what if for one day, just one day, the sensory path becomes an obstacle course allowing children to use it very differently? Like a competition on how fast the pathway could be completed or how slow (that would be different!). What if you allowed students to reinvent how it is used, prompting students to use it in creative, inclusive ways? Now that could be fun.

End the school year on a creative note by organizing arts and crafts activities that allow students to express themselves and create lasting memories. Provide a variety of materials such as paints, markers, beads, and clay, and let students choose their projects. They can create personalized keepsakes like picture frames, friendship bracelets, or decorative plaques to remember their school year. Allow children to use chalk to create a message for next year, and see if it lasts through the summer.
